Electronic notetakers and organisers are portable devices used to take notes, record and organise information. They are a useful tool for students who wish to take notes in lectures, for people in work who want to make notes in meetings. Others may just want to be able to record a shopping list or a telephone number. There are many different devices available, many will have a braille or a QWERTY keyboard and no screen. They generally feed back information by speech and/or braille output.

Braillex Trio
The Braillex Trio is a 40-cell Braille display and a Braille keyboard for external devices (PCs, off-the-shelf PDAs or mobile phones with appropriate screen readers), and a basic notetaker. Due to its Bluetooth® interface, the Braillex Trio is independent from any connection cables. Within a range of 10 metres (33 ft), Braillex Trio can communicate with other Bluetooth devices. The TapMemo is a handheld, battery powered voice-activated personal assistant. It contains only one multi-functional button and two volume buttons. All verbal commands are speaker independent.
