Activities: A non-governmental orgnisation which provides services include mobility and guidance, the initiation to the use of white
stick. Activities of daily living, cookery and other domestic household duties. We provide preprimary,
primary and adult education, teaching of Braille and preparation of students for the Certificate of
Primary Education classes while assuring their admission in colleges and other secondary institutions.
Our Centre is equipped of different modern machines specially deviced for blind and considerable works
are conducted by the computer.

Activities: The Lois Lagesse Trust Fund is a charitable institution catering for the welfare,
training and rehabilitation of the Visually Impaired Persons in Mauritius. The objectives of the Fund
is to aid, train and educate all Blind Persons and to assist them in obtaining medical treatment and
suitable
employment. The Fund also assists in creating conditions conducive for the gradual integration of
Blind Persons in their family and society. Education: A Pre-Primary & Primary School is responsible
for the education of our Blind Students. Services such as braille transcription, large print of school
textbooks and specialised equipment such as Slim Liners, Perkins Braillers as well as transport facility
are offered to the School Children. Outreach Services: Training is being offered to the Blind Persons
on Rattan Basketry, Computer, Typewriting, Braille, telephony, Orientation & Mobility, Daily Living
Skills, Sports & Leisure, Music, Songs & Dances and Sewing.
