Activities: The Society is the only national agency providing rehabilitation,
education, training and assistance to people who are blind or partially
sighted throughout Fiji. Their aim is to work towards the advancement
and well being of blind and visually impaired persons. Their goal is to
reach equality with sighted persons and full participation in society
through education, rehabilitation, social integration, employment and
legislation. Programs and services include community based rehabilitation,
Fiji School for the Blind, Hostel, Orientation and Mobility, Talking book
library and studio, Braille and transcription services, integrated education,
primary eye care, early intevention programme and vocational training.
