Activities: A free boarding educational institution for blind girls and women. The primary aim of Al Nour Wal Amal Association is to fulfill the rights of blind girls and women by providing them with free education, literacy programs, vocational training and job opportunities in order to develop their potentialities and their special abilities such as musical talents, to ensure their physical and psychological health and to allow them to develop their own identities and become self dependent integrated members of the society. Includes a Vocational Training program: carpet weaving, wicker work and bamboo, knitting of army socks and of fashion garments; A modern kindergarten for girls and boys prepares the children to deal with their environment, with each other, and the Braille they will need in school; The Music Institute where girls with musical abilities target music theory as well as a musical instrument; Computer Center provides training for the girls on special talking computers for the blind and the Physical Education and Recreational Activities program includes a gymnasium and special sports for the blind to ensure the physical and physiological well being of the girls.
